Choosing your wedding photographer should be fun and if you’re not having fun you should probably keep looking. If you want epic photos and a great experience without all the BS traditionally associated with the wedding industry, then you’ve come to the right photographer.
WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT?
I am not a trendy wedding photographer, nor do I ever desire to be one. In some respects, I’m old school. I spend the time getting your photos right the first time, because no amount of Photoshop or filters can salvage bad wedding pictures. Photoshop should be a tool and not a crutch, and I’ve been around long enough to know the difference.
WHAT IS YOUR STYLE?
You will find wedding pics in my portfolio that are from the very first wedding I shot nearly a decade ago. I’ll bet you a canvas wrap that you can’t guess which one it is. When I photograph your wedding, the pictures will look fantastic today, tomorrow, and 100 years from now. My images are bright, colorful, classy, and modern, but never trendy or “Instagrammed.” My style is authentic and the artwork is a direct reflection of my clients. Take a look at my portfolio and see if you can see yourself in those images.
WHY SHOULD WE HIRE YOU?
If your wedding photos are not good enough to hang on my wall then they’re not good enough to hang on your wall. I obsess over every detail. Perfection of my craft is what keeps me up at night and what gets me out of bed in the morning. Shooting weddings is my full time job— it’s all that I do and I do it well.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
The short answer is Duluth, MN. I’m a Duluth East graduate and earned my BFA in Design and Photography from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Shortly after Sara and I got married we moved to the Twin Cities. We lived in the Metro for nine years and recently returned to the Northland to raise our girls and be closer to family. Minneapolis/St.Paul was perfect for twenty-something working professionals but it was never “home.” While my work is primarily focused on the Twin Ports, I always enjoy shooting weddings in the Cities.
